    What Are Storyworth Questions?

Storyworth is a subscription service that sends a weekly email containing a specific prompt, and then saves your answer. The idea is to answer one question a week for an entire year. At the end of that year, the company creates a beautiful hard copy story volume for you as part of the $99 subscription.

The provided document compiles a staggering 468 total questions to draw from. This includes 193 basic questions and an additional 275 supplementary questions.

Basic Prompts for Your Early Years

When you begin your personal history, it is usually easiest to start with the basics. Some of the best prompts ask you to reflect on your foundational memories. For example, you might be asked to describe one of your fondest childhood memories or explain what qualities you value most in your friends.

Other profound questions ask if you are more like your father or your mother, and in what specific ways. You can even write about the best birthday cake you ever received or who your favorite teacher was in middle school.

    Writing About Tough Decisions

Your descendants will draw immense strength from reading about how you navigated difficult choices. The list includes thought-provoking questions, such as whether you have ever had to make a tough moral decision. You might also be prompted to reflect on whether you have any regrets, or if you would join the military if you could do it all over again.

There are also questions regarding your personal resilience. You can share exactly how you recovered from a significant breakup or divorce, or what weaknesses you struggle with the most.

    Documenting Family Traditions

Future generations love reading about the everyday details of your family life. You can answer prompts about your Thanksgiving traditions, both past and present, or share tips for hosting a great party. The prompts also invite you to share funny stories about your spouse or partner.

You can also describe what it was like when your first child finally left the nest, or how adopting a child uniquely shaped your life experience.

    How to Start Writing Today

Do not let the sheer volume of these questions intimidate you! Simply pick one prompt that sounds interesting and write a few paragraphs about it today. Over time, those small, weekly answers will blossom into a magnificent personal history.

Take time to read the phenomenal 25-page document below to review the full list of these 468 incredible prompts!
